Turning Around Technology
2008: Regenersis launched providing companies with total turn-key solutions for the test, repair, refurbishment and recycling, insurance fulfilment, and sales of high-end electrical products by bringing together Fonebak, CRC and Intec Distribution.

Expanding
2007: Fonebak acquires CRC Group, a leading repairer of high value electronics.  Gary Stokes is appointed CEO. Jeff Hewitt appointed Non-Executive Chairman.  Gordon Shields steps down as Chairman to become a Non-Executive Director.  Group revenues increased by 59% to £96.1 million, an underlying increase of 9.4%.

Floating
2005: Fonebak and Shields de-merge and Fonebak plc is floated on AIM.
Fonebak acquires Intec Cellular Services and Intec Distribution.
Fonebak acquires Mastercare (Dixon Stores Group mobile phone repair centre).

Launching
2002: Fonebak launched as the world’s first mobile phone recycling scheme with the endorsement of every network operator in the UK and the British government.

Safety
1999: In consultation with the industry, Shields Environmental develops Fonebak to provide a safe recycling solution for mobile phones.

Responsibility
1992: The Company is the first in the UK to be accredited to ISO 14001.

Rewarding
1989: Shields awarded contract from British Telecom to remove and recycle analogue central office switches across the UK.

Founding
1979: Shields Environmental founded by Gordon Shields.
